New Search Interface at Gale

I am pleased to announce the July 2007 release of a new search interface plus a range of new features that make this invaluable resource even better!

The Biography Resource Center enhancements are designed to:

• Make the database easier to use by streamlining navigational elements, including more direct access to the open Web from the Websites tab
• Add new pathways to information by creating a Category Browse for quick access to biographies on highly notable individuals from all time periods
• Lead users to updated biographies by ordering reference results by update date and making the Recent Update news icon easier to find

See for yourself — look for these new features in your Biography Resource Center soon:

• A freshened, more contemporary interface
• Category Browse, with biographical profiles in more than 15 categories (and growing), including athletes, world leaders, multicultural groups and more
• Results lists that display and order full-length biographies by date last updated
• Word counts following citations for individual full-length biographies on results lists
• Renamed reference content tabs for improved clarity and navigation
• More direct access to open Web addresses from the vetted Websites tab

Subscribers to the Marquis Who's Who module to the Biography Resource Center, please note that Marquis biographies can now be found behind the newly named "Brief biographies" tab alongside results for Gale content instead of behind a separate tab. This change is designed to help the "findability" of this important content.
