New LexisNexis Academic
Introducing the NEW LexisNexis Academic
Welcome to Information Central
LexisNexis
LexisNexis® Academic Information Central has been developed for our valued customers, like you, who want to gain early insight, stay up to date, and provide important input on the development of the NEW LexisNexis® Academic service, which is scheduled for a beta release in January 2007 and full release in Summer 2007.
The new interface, features and functionality of the NEW LexisNexis Academic are based directly on the Lexis® and Nexis® services, which are the premier search tools used by corporate, legal, and government information professionals and researchers around the world. This means that LexisNexis Academic users will benefit from the powerful new source selection, search, and results management tools recently developed for the NEW Nexis® service, which launched earlier this year.
In addition, the newly designed LexisNexis Academic will support interoperability with the technologies you’ve told us are most important to the academic library:
* Open-URL link resolvers
* Bibliographic software programs
* Federated search engines
LexisNexis Academic Information Central will show you how its tabular interface, simplified search forms, and powerful new features will make the NEW LexisNexis Academic service easy and intuitive to use, delivering a new level of access to unmatched content.
Check back into LexisNexis Academic Information Central in the coming months to hear from LexisNexis Academic Product Manager Alistair Morrison, who will be offering insights, tips and updates in his "Updates from Alistair" column on this page. And sign up for the LexisNexis® Academic Listserv today to get the latest news and join other academic librarians discussing the redesign project.
Mark your calendar: A prototype of the NEW LexisNexis® Academic interface will be demonstrated at ALA next month - check out our ALA site now to learn more. We hope to see you there – visit us at Booth #2632 to try out the NEW LexisNexis® Academic service and give us your feedback and input!
