EarthScape Updates

The August update of Earthscape (www.earthscape.org)focuses on the
topic of carbon sequestration. Carbon sequestration is a family of
methods for capturing and permanently isolating gases that otherwise
could contribute to global climate change. Affordable and
environmentally safe sequestration approaches could offer a way to
stabilize atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide.

Several new contributors join Earthscape this month such as DOE's
Carbon Sequestration Newsletter, Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory and the Columbia University Center for Carbon
Management.

Several curriculum resources, teacher's guides and FAQ sites on
carbon sequestration are also offered this month.
