ARTstor Upgrades

* New Citation Export *

ARTstor users can now save and export image citations within the
ARTstor Digital Library. Users may save images and/or image groups
into a citation list. Saved citations may then be emailed; directly
exported into EndNote, ProCite, or Reference Manager; printed; or
saved as a tab-delimited file. Each citation includes the creator,
title, date, repository, ARTstor image ID number, and persistent URL
for each image.

In order to save an image into a citation list, simply select one or
multiple images by clicking on them once while viewing the thumbnail
page. With one or more images highlighted, go to the Image Groups menu
located in the toolbar, and chose “Save selected images as citations.”
To view your saved citations, choose “View saved citations” from the
Image Groups menu. This will open a window from which you can export
and download all or selected saved citations.

Detailed instructions for using the new citation export feature will
be added to our online help (www.artstor.org/webhelp) by October 20th.

* Image Viewer Enhancements *

All users now have the ability to save and print zoomed areas of an
image within the Image Viewer. In order to accomplish this, we moved
the print and save icons within the Image Viewer. You can now find the
print and save functions in the row of icons directly beneath the
image, and directly to the left of the thumbnail map. You can learn
more about printing and downloading images from the Image Viewer in
our online help. Please note that the change in icon placement in
our online help will not be reflected until October 20th, however, the
functionality and instructions remain the same.
