New developments for Cambridge Journals Online

Cambridge University Press is delighted to announce the release of further enhancements to Cambridge Journals Online (CJO). Major new developments in functionality and design provide improved access to the content of Cambridge University Press's collection of over 220 leading academic and practitioner journals in science, technology and medicine, the humanities and social sciences.

Informed by detailed consultation with the library and research communities, Cambridge schedules three such major releases of updated functionality each year. This enables us to develop a flexible, customer-focused service and ensures that we can respond rapidly to requests for new features and functionality.

Paintings and Tapestries from the Getty
ARTstor is pleased to announce two new collections from the Getty. The first, J. Paul Getty Museum Collection, contains nearly 400 paintings from the 14th century through the early 20th century. The second collection, Study Photographs of Tapestries in the Getty Research Library, contains over 4,000 images from the Tapestries Collection.

2007 Basbanes Book Collecting Contest Awards

Please join us for the 2007 Nicole Basbanes '04 Book Collecting Contest award ceremony in
the Browsing Room of the Library at 4 PM on Monday April 30, 2007.

Zehra Asghar '08 and Erin Rogers '08 tied for first place this year and each will receive
a $300 prize. Ms. Asghar and Ms. Rogers will speak briefly on their collections at the
ceremony.

They will also become automatically entered in the Fine Books & Collections National

How to install the WorldCat Google Gadget on your personalized
Google home page

If you have previously created a personalized Google home page,
steps 1 and 2 may be unnecessary.

1) Visit www.google.com and click the "Personalize this page" link
at upper right.

2) Create an account or sign in.

3) Click the "Add Stuff" link at right above the Gadget display
area.

4) Click the "Add by URL" link at page top, to the left of the
Search Homepage Content button.

5) Enter the following URL in the Add by URL box:
http://worldcat.org/googlegadgets/worldcatsearch.xml

6) Click OK on the "You are about to add a feature that was not
created by Google" dialog.

7) Click the "Close" link inside the Add by URL box. Add more
Google Gadgets, or return to your personalized home page via the
"Back to homepage" link at top left.

2) Create a new page, or enter Edit Page mode on an existing page.

5) Click on the WorldCat logo or "WorldCat Search" link; then

Earthscape for April

This month Earthscape (www.earthscape.org) focuses on environmental reports from the
European Union. This update includes publications from the European Environment Agency,
NORDEN, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as well as reports
published by EU member states.

This month's featured webcast is "The Science of Global Climate Change and Human
Influences". NCAR scientist Kevin Trenberth discusses the IPCC, the greenhouse effect,
evidence that the atmosphere is changing, global energy flows, consequences of human
influences, and future predictions for a changing climate.
