Free Music Downloads at Alexander Street Press
We are pleased to introduce our newest tool for promoting your library to your patrons: free weekly music downloads. The service is available to everyone, so even if you don't subscribe to Classical Music Library or other Alexander Street Press databases you can still point your users to this valuable resource.
The program is simple: each week, we select a work from Classical Music Library and make it freely available for download. Users can select the format they would like, either MP3 or WMA, and then download the tracks onto their personal computers, transfer them to iPods and other MP3 players, or burn them onto discs.
The best part is how easy it is to get started. Just paste the following URL, http://musicdownloads.alexanderstreet.com/promo/, onto your library's homepage, send it in an email announcement to students and faculty, or post it to a listserv or weblog. That's all you have to do. Your patrons can start downloading music immediately, and can sign up for email alerts letting them know when new music becomes available. We have also posted links to the site on your institution's Classical Music Library homepage, so your patrons will be reminded of this resource every time they visit.

Don't wait— go to http://musicdownloads.alexanderstreet.com/promo/ now to download this for yourself, and start sharing this resource with your patrons. They're sure to thank you for it.
